hmm….maybe some of the problem with “teens” today is that we continually treat them as insignificant, rebellious, immature, worthless KIDS! what if we started seeing them as God does – value them, esteem them (yes, even the ones you are having difficulty with whether they be yours or someone else’s), treat them as YOUNG ADULTS. treat them as a beginning adult from the time they are 13ish and not a child who is entering the dreaded tumultuous, dangerous and risky pre-adult years. what if we had significant, purposeful jobs (not chores that WE need to have done) lined up for them as they were entering these beginning adult years? some kind of goal for them that THEY have input in setting. a job to make a difference in the lives of others………more later. i’ve gotta get ready for churchÂ
